Your GitHub, woven into a website.

Paste a username. GitLoom reads your public repos, languages and activity, and lays them into one of ten templates. Style it in the studio, then download a single HTML file you can host anywhere for free.

No sign-up and nothing to install. See it with a demo profile.

10 templates

1 HTML file to host

0 accounts to create

8 sections you can reorder

Ten templates. Same data, different cloth.

Every template below is the real renderer running on a demo profile. Pick one to open it in the studio with your username.

Everything a portfolio needs, already threaded through.

Pulled from GitHub

  • Projects with stars, forks, topics, live-site links and when they were last updated
  • Languages measured by bytes of code, shown as a ring and bars
  • Activity heatmap and feed from your last 90 days
  • Profile README rendered safely, images and all

Styled by you

  • Ten templates, any accent colour, nine headline fonts
  • Drag sections into the order you want, hide the rest
  • Pick repos by hand or sort by stars or recency
  • Experience and skills you add yourself

Ready to ship

  • One index.html with styles and scripts inside
  • Search and social tags so links preview with your photo
  • PDF résumé printed from the same data
  • Share links that rebuild your site from the URL

Finished properly

  • Ctrl+K quick menu to jump to any project or section
  • Phone layouts for every template
  • Respects reduced motion, with an off switch for animation
  • Undo and redo, saved designs, import and export

From username to live site in three steps.

  1. 1

    Paste your username

GitLoom fetches your public profile in the browser. Nothing is stored on a server.

  2. 2

    Style it in the studio

Change template, colour, sections and projects and watch the preview update as you go.

  3. 3

    Download and publish

Upload the file to a username.github.io repo. The studio walks you through it.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. GitLoom runs entirely in your browser and the site it makes is a static file. GitHub Pages, Netlify and Vercel all host static files for free.

Does it need access to my GitHub account?

No. It only reads public data through GitHub's API. If you make lots of changes and hit GitHub's hourly limit of 60 requests, you can add a token with no permissions in the studio to raise it to 5,000. The token stays in your browser.

Will my site update when I push new code?

The downloaded file is a snapshot, which keeps it fast and private. Download again whenever you want to refresh it, or share the live link from the studio, which always fetches the latest data.

Can I edit the HTML afterwards?

Yes. It's one readable file with the styles at the top and a small script at the bottom. Change anything you like.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Add a CNAME file to your Pages repository and point your domain at GitHub. GitHub's Pages settings explain each step.
